The Cock Inn is a quaint and beautiful country pub which dates back to the 17th century, when it was then known as The Cock Horse.
Situated in the heart of the Chess valley in Hertfordshire, The village of Sarratt is a Mecca for ramblers, walkers and anyone who just appreciates wonderful, untouched countryside.
Opposite the pub is a historic 12th century Norman church, the vicinity of which makes The Cock inn an ideal venue, for Weddings, Christenings and any celebration or remembrance.
A huge function room, with its Tudor style beams and “olde worlde” atmosphere comtributes hugely to any function or occasion, and our friendly team of staff will help everything run smoothly.
Our top quality Chef offers a daily menu which caters for all tastes, together with superb wines and real ales, which you can enjoy informally in our bar areas, or in The Barn Restaurant. Snacks, or three course meals, the choice is yours.
The Cock inn is an all-year round pub; in the summer months come and enjoy our huge garden areas, with views across the countryside, with safe facilities for children, and in the winter, enjoy cosy occasions around our wonderfully lit ‘Inglenook’ fireplace.
